DIY Sliding Gloves: PART 2. Victory in pomegranate land
Finally! We made gloves we were happy with. Also, we found an easy way to apply wax to the gloves. This cut down on the amount of damage done to the puck and it smells great. It's like we are boarding through pomegranate land. Thanks sentsy! Haha ;)
DIY Sliding Gloves: PART 1. Trial and error
Our sliding glove project involved a lot of trial and error. It stared out with several sets of gloves and round PVC pipe. We were hoping that the curve in the PVC pipe would elevate our hands enough we could make a less bulky glove. Also, several sliding gloves for sale had finger pucks and flat palm pieces, but grabs were more difficult. We wanted it all!! Here are some pics of the process. While making the gloves we went to try them out to see where adjustments needed to be made. The first couple sets of gloves stuck to the pavement causing a choppy ride or just tossed you off the board. You can watch us try out the gloves on the videos page.
